MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

ORGANISATION STRUCTURE AND SUPPLY CHAINS

Our business, Polygon Pets Limited operates self-service Dog Washes and Dog Adventure Parks. The nature of our business requires that we work in conjunction with site partners, a small number of staff, suppliers and contractors.

Registered Company number: 09689972
Registered Company address: Polygon Pets Limited, Unit 13 Chantry Park Cowley Road, Nuffield Industrial Estate, Poole, Dorset, England  BH17 0UJ

Polygon Pets Ltd take our responsibilities seriously and is committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within or connected to our organisation’s structure and supply chain. This Statement is made in accordance with and constitutes its compliance pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

POLICIES IN RELATION TO SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

As part of our commitment to combating modern slavery, Polygon Pets Ltd has considered all factors and relevant policies in relation to this Statement and include: Code of Ethics, a platform for Whistleblowers and Supply Chain Code of Conduct.

DUE DILIGENCE PROCESSES

Due diligence is a structured and ongoing process to identify and address risks focused on people as our business operates and grows. Polygon Pets Ltd understands the importance of remaining transparent and vigilant. This will help to regularly assess potential risks and improve outcomes for workers in our business and eradicate slavery and human trafficking from global supply chains.

RISK ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT

For a number of reasons, the following aspects reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking within our organisation structure and supply chains; which include:

  • Polygon Pets was established with few family members and with direct engagement to the majority of our contacts - we are well placed to provide the most transparent and approachable environment to raise the unlikely concerns of slavery and human trafficking

  • The need for staffing is minimal and our work is not seasonal and does not rely on large numbers of unskilled labour

  • We have a good transparent relationship with a small number of suppliers

  • Contractors are skilled, capable operatives who carry validated trade or professional qualifications - they also require an understanding of the same legislation

  • Our contractor’s work is short

  • Supply chains are established and regular contacts allow for a high degree of control and visibility

  • We would expect all other operating businesses through our structure and supply chains to publish their own policy to understand the importance of this Modern Slavery Act 2015 also

  • The majority of our supplies are sourced through UK distributors or UK companies, allowing strong commercial controls to be applied and encourage compliance

  • Actively raised awareness of the Modern Slavery Act to all staff and informed staff how to deal with suspected cases of slavery or human trafficking

  • Staff are encouraged to recognise and report any concerns to management

  • Polygon Pets Ltd will conduct regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate the risk of modern slavery within our operations and supply chain

  • Where risks are identified, we will work with suppliers and contractors to implement actions to address these risks and mitigate the potential for modern slavery

The above factors and procedures aim to:
    - Mitigate and reduce slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain and partners
    - Be conscious about the potential risk areas in our business and supply chain
    - Provide a platform and adequate protection for whistleblowers

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS TO MEASURE EFFECTIVENESS OF STEPS BEING TAKEN

Polygon Pets Ltd will keep up to date with legislation required to fulfil our commitments and policies.
